Photography In Studio

Studio photography Studio Photography is pretty much self explanatory its basically taking photos inside a studio, although this sounds boring a studio has an advantage when taking photographs and styles. For example you can change lighting inside a studio to suite best for your subject.

List of Styles of photography used in a studio There are various styles of photography used inside a studio and many of them are used today to make magazine covers. Here are a few styles that we will be focusing on: -High Key lighting -Low key lighting -Light Painting

High key lighting High key Lighting uses a white backdrop as well as various soft box lights. High key lighting is used to take away all the harsh shadows away and exposes the subject to suite/blend in with the backdrop. Examples of High key lighting:

Low key lighting Low key lighting uses a black backdrop and one softbox light. Low key lighting makes your photos more dramatic as it adds more of a dark tone to a photograph which is the complete opposite to what high key lighting does. The dark tones also add more of a darker theme within photographs which gives a moody look.

Light painting Light painting is made within a studio and just a camera set on a slow shutter speed, the light painting technique use no studio lights at all and a few lights that move with the model. Examples:

Task For this task you will now make your very own light paintings within a studio we will make you, all the settings have been done for you the only thing you guys will have to do is draw an image of your choice. It can be anything you desire whether that be batman logos or circles or anything the choice is up to you. You have 30 minutes to do this task

Photo Check We will now look at the images that you guys have made and will choose the best one out of them all remember this will be based on the design of the light painting.
