Banking Sector in India comprises of Nationalized (government owned), Private banks and Specialized banking. Public Sector Banks conduct an All India Examination. Various Banks advertise about their vacancies through classified ads. Scope of Banking Sector in India Mobile No | - |  The banking sector is considered to as the backbone of the Indian economy and offers various career opportunities to students from all fields: science, commerce humanities.  The sector is in the huge need for manpower as Government of India is taking banking to remote areas also by opening new branches.  It is also considered one of the socially respectable and secure job.  In India, there are multiple examinations for bank jobs conducted by IBPS, State Bank of India and Reserve Bank of India (twice in a year).  It is one of the lucrative careers especially for the people who are looking job in government sector.

Career Opportunities in the Banking Sector  Tellers- Tellers are the bank employees who have the most contact with customers. They accept deposits, cash checks and handle uncomplicated customer service issues.  Loan Officers- Banks generate money by issuing loans, which means loan officers have a key role to play in a bank's success.  Investments- Technically, banks do not employ investment representatives. However, you do find licensed brokers in banks because these individuals are employees of a division of the holding corporation that owns the bank.  Insurance- As with securities sales people, insurance representatives are employees of the bank holding corporation rather than the bank.  Auditors- Banking centers are regularly visited by in-house auditors who are tasked with detecting fraud, clerical errors and reducing the bank's operational losses.
