The Right Retina Care Doctor Is One That Cares And Educates Patients At The Same Time What is retinal detachment and why should you know about it? Retinal detachment is the pulling away or lifting of the retina from its normal position somehow. The retina is tissue layer that is inside your eyes, and that is sensitive to light. When retinal detachment happens, some small areas of the retina suffer tears, and they are called retina breaks or retinal tears. If retinal detachment isn’t tended to correctly, it is something, which could go on to rob a person of their vision. You should know about retinal detachment, as well as, other retinal diseases of the eye for one reason and that is to save your sight should you suffer one of these ailments. Retinal detachment is just one of many retinal diseases.

The Right Retina Care Doctor Is One That Cares And Educates Patients At The Same Time What you look for in the right retina care doctor to treat your retinal detachment? It is Retina Care Consultants, P.A.is far more than just a retinal professional eye care place. They are the right retinal care doctor for some reasons. These reasons are all about you, the patient, and making sure that you are both educated on your eye condition and treated with the most modern/ efficient of all methods to handle any retinal situation. Restore Your Vision A common concern among many of Dr. Shane’s patients is age-related macular degeneration. This chronic condition is the leading cause of vision loss in patients 50 years of age and over. A common of symptom of macular degeneration may be blurring or distortion of vision without any pain. A variety of factors may cause macular degeneration, including a family history or smoking. Patients who suspect they might be experiencing macular degeneration should make an appointment with their ophthalmologist, who may then refer them to a vitreoretinal doctor.

Your Window to the World Cutting Edge Technology A variety of treatments for conditions of the retina are now being treated by retinal lasers, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tear and retinal detachments. In many cases, a laser procedure for the eyes might only be minimally uncomfortable at most. Most laser procedures are performed in the clinic as an outpatient procedure with a topical anesthesia being applied prior to the procedure. During laser retinal conditions, the risk of complications is very low. At times, patients may benefit from multiple treatments from retinal lasers. See the World Do not continue to suffer from the effects of deteriorating vision. Treatments from a specialized retina care doctor are efficient, life-changing and covered by many forms of insurance. It’s time to better see the world.
