Director of Coaching Plan, train and evaluate coaching activities Develop advanced training program for skilled players. Establish the coaching philosophy of the leagues

OASC Mission (Child development) To promote soccer as a sport Educate children on soccer skills team play and sportsmanship Train minds and bodies Provide supervised athletic contests and tournaments Recreational: Provide each player the opportunity to play soccer in a supportive and rewarding environment that emphasizes fun, enjoyment and skill learning, through equal participation, regardless of ability. Developmental: Provide each player the opportunity to play soccer in a supportive and rewarding environment that emphasizes fun, enjoyment and skill learning, at a level that fits his/her interest and ability.

Coaching Mission Provide technically sound coaching mentors Prepare well organized training sessions Consistently communicate with team, parents and the organization Be on time/ early for all team events

Coaching Vision We want to standardize our practice for children and coaches Have an open flow of communication between parents, coaches and league officials Establish a coaches corner page on the website which details training plans, activity drills, coaches bio’s, and a coaches blog.

Strategic Plan/ Goals Have each coach and team mom manage team through team stuff. Two Coaches and a team mom for each team. Every practice will run for 1 hour Coaches will follow practice plans given by the DOC.

LSC Goal 1 Promote Physical and Mental Health Host 1 or 2 day 90 minute training sessions that challenge players physical abilities. A State approved practice program will be established to ensure continuity and a guide for students to track progress. Players will be assigned various leadership roles throughout the program to instil our key character traits of team work resilience, self confidence, independence, and respect.

LSC Goal 2 Develop Future Community Leaders By Mastering the five key character traits players will have the base skills to survive in any personal or business setting. Soccer has the potential to open many doors for players socially, financially, and academically. There are more soccer carriers, professional teams, and scholarships to universities than any sport in the world.

LSC Goal 3 Enhance Self-Esteem Our goal is to help each player improve their weaker attributes, on the field and key character traits by establishing bench mark goals and a plan to meet them. Bi-weekly check-ins via emails or text to coaches are required by each player and parent. Highlight each players attributes and place them in position to make small success that build confidence.

Short Falls Time management Obligations (family, work, then soccer) Child favoritism Insufficient equipment No real coaching or soccer experience We are going to beat every team I need the best players on the field most of the time Training progress is based on what I want to do and what my best players can do.

Coach Curriculum We have a prepared developmental program for all ages Every coach will follow this 8 week plan. Your experience or skill may allow you to add and/or tailor the program to your team.

How to Run a Practice R-S-W-I-I-S Ages U6 and up Rotations - 2mins Stretches - 3mins Warm-up Activity - 5mins Individual Skill Activity - 15mins Integrated Group Activity - 15mins Small Sided Game/ Scrimmage - 15mins

How to Manage your Team Roster Process We will limit the number of children on each team to twice the amount of playable on field players. Ex. U6- four on field players/ eight players total. First come first served. After Player registration the Secretary and the DOC will assign players to appropriate teams. Coaches will assume a pre-loaded roster. Utilize Team Stuff app to schedule practices and games.

How to Manage your Team 7 Keys to Success 1. Have a meeting with your children and parents before any activities. Establish coaching culture, rules for practice, address coaching plan and confirm a team mom/dad and an assistant coach. 2. Pre-Load your practices and games on the Team Stuff app. 3. Check with DOC once a week to verify schedule and practice times. 4. Contact parents a minimum of once a week on activities. 5. Review your practice plan before you conduct it. 6. Arrive early for practices and games. 7. ON GAME day meet as a team before moving to your field of play.
