What is the current advice given out? E.g. not to smoke at all, to only take antibiotics when absolutely necessary, to lay a baby on its back. What was the advice given out years ago? E.g. smoking was acceptable, antibiotics were given out freely, to place a baby on its tummy to sleep.

Ideas have changed over time because of: Advances in technology Medical research has found out new things e.g. smoking causes cancer Surveys have been carried out New laws have come into place e.g. smoking ban, 18+ to buy cigarettes as from !

Graphs Statistics Tables of results If you include figures from before it will show how the new advice given has had an effect on the latest figures. You should see a drop in cases of cot death etc
