Certifications, Registration, and Licensure Licensure: A process whereby a government agency authorizes individuals to work in a given occupation. To obtain a licensure you must: Complete an approved educational program Pass a state board test Maintain certain standards Registered Nurse, Doctors, Dentists, PT, LPN. Etc.
