Where is it? Paris, France Millions of tourists visit Paris every year Located in the western side of the city

When was it built? Built in 1889 Took over 2 years to complete Premiered at the World Fair in Paris

Why was it built? Built to honor France’s 100 Years of Independence The French flag was flown at the top to celebrate France and the tower’s completion. Was supposed to be temporary

My Opinion Many artists in Paris hated the design It is a famous landmark in the City of Lights!
