Class of Drug: Class: Benzodiazepine (which are depressants due to their impact on the CNS) Usage: The recommendation time period is only a few weeks because individuals can become addicted/dependant upon the drug. In essence, Benzodiazepines work to calm the Central Nervous System and make it so that the individual’s system is less excitable to stimulus.
