The Long Civil Rights Movement Howard Zinn, “Representative Government: The Black Experience” Why does Zinn place the roots of the civil rights movement in the Constitution? What does Zinn provide as “start” and “end” points for the movement? Why? What are the major points Zinn identifies in his essay? What are their significance?
