Creating the Works Cited in EasyBib EasyBib is on online bibliography creation tool that is part of your Canterbury Google Apps package. Start by signing in to your Google Drive.
Begin by signing into your Canterbury Google Drive Begin by signing into your Canterbury Google Drive. This step is not absolutely necessary, but if you want to take full advantage of Easybib’s features, you NEED to do it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do it. You REALLY should do it.
NEXT: Open a new tab.Go to easybib.com. Click on LOGIN.
NEXT: WAIT for a minute until you see the “Sign in with Google” button. Click it. Magic will happen.
Click on “My Projects” to start a New Works Cited List or return to an existing Works Cited List. Because you are already signed into your Google Drive, Easybib can automatically use your information to link to your McCrae Google. It even KNOWS YOUR NAME!
Use this button to create a new Works Cited List All the Works Cited you have made for your courses are sitting there waiting for you to polish them up or reuse resources.

The most important skills you need for Easybib are: understanding what type of source you have knowing where that type of source displays the bibliographic information that you need
Every type of source has its own set of required information bits.
Books
Books: Monograph (entire book is by one author) or Anthology (book containing essays by many authors) Autocite results are not reliable: click on Manual cite
Websites
WEBSITES: make sure you cite the EXACT page you found the information on. The home age of the website is not sufficient. If you have used more than one page from a site, each page needs its own entry Step 1: Enter the URL of the page. Step 2: Easybib will return some options. Pick the closest one. Expect that you will need to add some information during the next step.

Digital Images
To cite an online image: Click the “All 59 Options” tab, and then click on “Digital Images”
Fill in the required information. If you cannot find the author’s name or name of image, do not use the image. make sure the URL is for the page that shows both image and author information click “Yes” beside “Display URL” ignore “publisher/ sponsor”
Final Steps

In your Google Drive LIKE MAGIC, all the citations are organized alphabetically, italicized, indented, titled and ready to add to your essay or submit to your teacher.
Change document name to name of project so that you can find it again in your drive
Ask the librarian for feedback or help with your Works Cited List items. There are plenty of details to remember, and so many different kinds of sources that locate their information in different places that no-one learns them all or remembers them all the first time. That’s one of many skills that teacher-librarians love to help with.
