Introduction This project covers scheduling from development of the WBS to preparing the Gantt Chart for a presentation. This is done by utilizing SureTrak to develop the schedule from the ground up. Taggart

Activity 24: Hang Drywall When placing gypsum wallboard in average size rooms, 2 carpenters experienced in wallboard erection should place about 2,000 square feet of board per 8 hour day. Taggart

Activity 25: Finish Drywall This is a picture of finished drywall. Tape has been placed over all gypsum wallboard separations and has been mudded, as well as all screws. Taggart

Activity 26: Masonry On buildings having long straight walls without many openings, such as basement walls, garages and factories, a mason should lay 800 to 900 modular size concrete bricks per 8 hour day. While on dwellings and other structures having 8” walls, cut up with numerous openings and pilasters, a mason should lay 650 to 700 bricks per 8 hour day. Taggart

Activity 27: Exterior Paint When configuring the duration for exterior painting, you can account .95 hours per 100 SF for priming, .85 hours per 100 SF for second coat, and .75 hours per 100 SF for the third coat. Taggart

Activity 28: Interior Finish Carpentry A carpenter should place 125 to 150 linear feet per 8 hour day. Taggart

Activity 29: Interior Doors This is a picture of a pre-hung interior door unit. The unit consists of the door, a 1-3/8” H.C. frame, stops, face trim, and hinges, all assembled as a unit. The door is bored and mortised for the lockset and bolt, and the framed is mortised for the strike plate. Taggart

Activity 30: Interior Paint Three coats are recommended for interior plaster that has never been painted: a priming coat, a second or body coat, and a third or finishing coat. On smooth plaster or hard finished wallboard, wall primer or sealer should cover 575 to 625 sq ft per gallon for the priming coat. The second coat should cover 500 to 550 sq ft per gallon, and the third coat should cover 575 to 626 sq ft per gallon. Taggart

Activity 31: Cabinets Many cabinets are furnished completely assembled and finished. These kind of cabinets are factory finished with a penetrating sealer coat and clear laquer. Taggart

Activity 32: Finish Plumbing Finish plumbing could include many items, such as plumbing for bathtubs, shower stalls, lavatories, washfountains, water closets, urinals, bidets, and sinks. Taggart

Lessons Learned As a group, we collectively learned the importance of working together to achieve a sought product or goal. Some of the most important lessons we learned as a group were learning how to collaborate together by incorporating our own individual strengths and ideas. Not only did we learn how to execute a plan and a schedule on Suretrak, but we learned how to do the same thing as a group. We learned how important it is to plan, delegate and give certain group members objectives to complete that match their abilities to execute it accurate and efficiently. Finally, we learned some of the basic operations of the Suretrak software and the R.S. Means Construction Data book. Knowing how to use these two things is important because it will make us more competitive as we enter the construction industry. Taggart
