1. Our Father “Our Father which art in heaven.” Jesus was teaching something that was revolutionary. Father: The Aramaic word Abba meaning dearest father. Exodus 19:20-24 Exodus 20:18-21

1. Our Father Our dearest father is to be our foundational awareness in prayer. Galatians 4:6 The beginning of effective prayer is the recognition that God possesses a father’s heart, a father’s love, a father’s strength and a father’s concern for His children.

Luke 11:1–4 1 Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

II Kings 20:1–6 On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord. 6 And I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.”’”
