OUR STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT PLANS

OUR OBJECTIVES

OUR OBJECTIVES : MISSION ENABLING Drive 887,000 visitors to the zoo between June and September 2017 Deliver an events based programme to give visitors specific and compelling reasons to visit the inspiring spaces during the course of the festival. Provide an opportunity to develop 2nd gate and commercial upsells in order to maximise revenue. Create an event that will be appealing to funding organisations, in particular those that are interested in reaching audiences through the innovative communication of science and the natural world. Enhance our physical environment to improve visitor satisfaction.

OUR OBJECTIVES : MISSION DELIVERY Develop engaging and entertaining ways of communicating science and a sense of connectedness with nature to a broad range of visitors, with a specific focus on families and young experience seekers. Raise the profile of our work in the field of horticulture and botany. Position Chester Zoo as a significant scientific and cultural institution by forging meaningful collaborations with other experts in these fields. Engage with community groups to deliver against our audience development objectives.
