Parallel and Perpendicular Lines Parallel Lines- HAVE THE SAME SLOPE Perpendicular Lines: HAVE OPPOSITE RECIPROCAL SLOPE (form right angles!) Remember slopes of zero and undefined are always perpendicular!!!

Quadrilateral A four sided polygon. (a four sided shape!)

Parallelogram A four sided figure with opposite sides parallel.

Rectangle A four sided figure with all right angles. To find area: Length * Width

Square A figure with all sides congruent, and four right angles. To find area: Side * Side ( or side2 )

Circle Set of points equal distant from the center. To find area: Circumference is the “perimeter” of the circle How to find circumference: Diameter is 2 * radius.
