Technology integration In Early Childhood & Beyond

Who Am I? * Bilingual Pre-Kinder Teacher * Campus Integration Technology Specialist * Grade Level Chair and Community Learning Facilitator I work on a Title I campus where 99.9% of students are Hispanics and 80% of our students have Spanish as their home language. Our District has implemented to Gomez and Gomez model (district Wide) all of our campuses are dual language, we are creating bilingual, bicultural and bi-literate. * Work history and why technology. * District Liaisons. *Elementary Computer Science Teaching Curriculum.

What is educational technology? Educational Technology is the effective use of technological tools and devices in the learning environment. This includes tools like media, machines and hardware, and software programs and applications.

What are our technology resources? * Classroom computers * Computer labs * Smart boards * Tablets * Clickers or other input devices.

Integrating resources to early childhood Modeling and allowing student interaction with smart boards If available, Allowing student to manipulate mobile devices using specialized applications to target specific content areas. Modeling and allowing students to manipulate classroom computers as well as computers in laboratories. Utilizing video recording features on mobile devices to create presentations from students.
