OPI Candidate Registration On the next screen, select whether you want Express Service and/or an official copy of your certificate sent to you or your university, and provide the information requested. If you selected Michigan State University as your proctoring location, you do not need to have an official copy of your certificate sent to MSU. OPI Candidate Registration On the final screens, review your order, provide candidate information and submit payment for the test. LTI will contact you and the proctor with confirmation of the assigned test date and time. Experience has taught us that this does not always happen, so please email CeLTA with your information (see Slide 7). Additional Notes: Retesting: LTI recommends waiting 90 days before retesting, but allows one retake within a 90 day period after the original test. If candidates desire a second retake, they must wait 90 days from the retest. Academic Institutional Upgrade: If your EPI has faculty members who are certified OPI examiners, they may administer the OPI to your institution’s candidates for a lower fee (approximately $45.00). The OPI must still be arranged through LTI. Contact ACTFL or LTI for further details.
