Grade 10 Course Selection www.dpcdsb.org/MARCL myBlueprint.ca

What to consider when deciding what to take in Grade 10 Consider future goals when making choices for Gr. 10 Some Gr. 10 courses will be pre-requisites for Grade 11 and 12 courses. Ex. You can’t take ASM3M1 in grade 11 if you don’t have the grade 10 ASM201. The gr. 10 ASM20 is the pre- requisite for ASM3M1. Go onto our guidance page on our website www.dpcdsb.org/MARCL and check out the course calendar which lists all of our courses You can also check out all the courses on your myBlueprint account, under High School

Making Your Choices – Compulsory Classes You will need to choose the following 6 Compulsory Courses for Gr. 10: English – ENG2P (applied), ENG2D (academic), ENG2L (Locally Developed) Math – MFM2P (applied), MPM2D (academic), MAT2L (Locally Developed) Science – SNC2P (applied), SNC2D (academic), SNC2L (Locally Developed) Religion – HRE201 or hre2oa (liturgical arts) Civics and Careers – civcar History – CHC2D (academic), CHC2P (applied), CHC2L (Locally Developed)

How do I do this? Log into your myBlueprint account Go to High School Planner Click on the course – the compulsory courses are shaded in Select the level Add to plan It’s that easy!

Gr. 10 Elective Courses You can choose 2 Elective Courses However if you go to summer school this summer and take 1 compulsory course, ex. If you plan on taking summer school, select the third elective in place of the compulsory course Put your Compulsory course down in the Alternates box under your Gr. 10 column when choosing your courses

When do I pick up a summer school form? Summer School forms are usually in GUIDANCE by April 2018! If they are in earlier, we will make an announcement and send out a tweet! Stay tuned!
