Definition: “idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person within a culture” -Richard Dawkins Shortened from mimeme, which means “imitated thing” Acts as a unit to carry cultural ideas, symbols or practices that is transmitted through writing, speeches, gestures, imitable phenomena, etc. with a mimicked theme Wants to spread and can take various forms
