Hecatoncheires Means “hundred handed” Massive creatures with 50 heads and 100 arms of great strength
Gorgons Female monsters with snakes for hair. Two were immortal, one was not. Who was the mortal one?
Medusa Once so beautiful, she made Athena jealous. Medusa is pursued by Zeus in one of Athena’s temples. Athena turns her into a Gorgon. Which hero later kills her?
Cerberus Three-headed dog Guards the entrance to the underworld: the dead may enter, but not leave. Orpheus (a great musician and poet) was able to get past the dog by charming him to sleep with his song.
