Previous PROGRAMS No previous oral health programs for our specific target group There has not been an oral health program held at Groves Elementary in the past

Weaknesses/recommendations Time constraints We ran over 15 minutes on lesson #2&4 while gathering plaque scores Recommendation: Plan ahead for the extra time that is needed for dates when gathering plaque scores Zero parental involvement A letter was sent out encouraging the parents attendance and involvement in our program Recommendations: A phone call can be made to each parent to make it more personable, we also can send a letter each time

strengths Program planners work well together Program was well organized and designed Designed to meet their learning level Activities geared to their abilities Used 5 senses: sight smell, touch, taste, hear Hands on with students

Conclusion We feel that Groves Elementary will be a good future site The life skills and adaptive behavior unit was in need of an oral health program and will continue to be in need and benefit from oral health education This program was a success
