Monday, October 30 This writing prompt creates a 'What If?' scenario for you to write about: You are an assassin and you've been ordered to kill someone you've fallen in love with. How did you get into this situation and what will you do next? Write at least one paragraph (at least five sentences).

Tuesday, October 31 Take a copy of the pumpkin sheet and create an acrostic by creating words that start with the letters of “pumpkin” to describe yourself. You may then color and/or decorate your pumpkin.

Wednesday, November 1 On the same sheet of paper as Monday, complete the following “What If” scenario”: You have a chance to go forward one year in time. What has changed in the world? Write at least one paragraph (at least five sentences). Don’t forget that your Expository Essays are due on Friday!

Thursday, November 2 On the same sheet of paper as yesterday, complete the following “What If” scenario”: A friend has been staying with you since his relationship break-up. He has overstayed his welcome but you don't want to ask him to leave. Think of an imaginative scheme to make him decide to go? Write at least one paragraph (at least five sentences). Don’t forget that your Expository Essays are due on Friday!

Friday, November 3 On the same sheet of paper as yesterday, write a 2 paragraph free write (that means at least ten sentences, ladies and gentlemen, to receive full credit). Once you are finished, turn in your bell work to Ms. Holmes. Don’t forget that your Expository Essays are due today!

Wednesday, November 8 Use the following first line to create a short narrative: He waited until her husband was out of the room, then... Make sure the narrative is at least two paragraphs. IT MUST BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE!!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday, November 9 In one paragraph or more, tell me one thing you would change about yourself. Then discuss how you would go about making this change. This must be at least 5 sentences.

Friday, November 10 You have two options: 1. Write a two paragraph free write, Or 2. Tell me in two paragraphs what you would do if the cell phone companies turned off their cell towers and you were unable to use your phones for the entire weekend. What would your weekend look like?

Monday, November 13 Why is technology so important to you? Write two paragraphs explaining what makes it so important to your everyday life.

Tuesday, November 14 1st and 3rd: Turn on your computers and log in to Microsoft Teams and pull up the PDF of Animal Farm to chapter 6. 4th: Get an orange literature book and be ready to finish Act III. 5th/6th: Work on either your Argumentative Essay, Essay Corrections, or Wes Moore.

Wednesday, November 15 1st and 3rd: Turn on your computers and log in to Microsoft Teams and pull up the PDF of Animal Farm to chapter 7. 4th: Get into your groups from yesterday and begin practicing for your performance of your Act III sections. 5th/6th: Work on either your Argumentative Essay, Essay Corrections, or Wes Moore.

Thursday, November 16 What are your plans for the Thanksgiving Break? Are you going somewhere special? What does the menu look like for Thursday? Tell me the answers to these questions in 8 sentences.

Friday, November 17 What are some things you are thankful for this year? Describe them and explain your reasoning for being thankful. This must be at least two paragraphs! Turn in your bell work for Monday, Thursday, and Friday to me!
