Welcome to FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences) Mrs. Oliver 7th Grade-Personal Development Bellwork: Please get out your agenda and write down what the CW (classwork) and HW (Homework ) for today is. Write a paragraph telling me what you did over break and something about yourself. How many kids are in your family, your hobbies, things you are excited about middle school! One person get out your groups lab plan and place on your table! Objective: Create a meal in the foods lab and follow a written recipe. CW: Orange Julius HW: Bring in a rubber band for hair if long enough!

7th Grade Day 13 Bellwork: Get out your recipe. Clear all items off your table. What are the ingredients in Mini Pizzas? First person in group pre-heat oven, look on recipe for heat! One person get out your groups lab plan and place on your table! Objective: Create a meal in the foods lab and follow a written recipe. CW: Mini Cheese Pizza HW: Tell your parents about your cooking experience!

7th Grade Day 14 Bellwork: Get out your recipe. Clear all items off your table. What are the ingredients in Hot Bean Tortilla Pizzas? First person pre-heat oven to correct temperature. Objective: Create a meal in the foods lab and follow a written recipe. CW: Hot Bean Tortilla Pizzas HW: Tell your parents about your cooking experience!

7th Grade Day 15 Bellwork: Get out your recipe. Clear all items off your table. What are the ingredients in Cinnamon Twists? Pre-heat ovens! Objective: Create a meal in the foods lab and follow a written recipe. CW: Cinnamon Twists HW: Tell your parents about your cooking experience!

7th Grade: Sewing Day 16 Bellwork: Have you ever sewn before? What do you think is the scariest part? Objective: Cut and pin fabric so it’s ready to sew CW: Sewing rules, Before we sew powerpoint, Sewing Tool ID and practice on paper.

7th Grade: Sewing Day 17 Bellwork: What type of gym bag are you making (What’s the fabric that you picked out)? Why did you pick the fabric you have? Objective: Demonstrate how to use the sewing machine correctly and identify the sewing machine parts. CW: Begin work on project, cutting and pinning HW: Have a good night!
