Federal Executive Fellowship (FEF) Hudson Fellowship at University of Oxford Secretary of Defense Executive Fellowship (SDEFP) Politico-Military Master’s (PMM) Selection Board for Academic Year 2018-2019 November 15-17, 2017

Naval Strategy Subspecialty (2300X) Develop top-tier strategy experts over the span their career and utilize during subspecialty billets during shore assignments. Allows the proactive management of personnel serving in key strategy assignments. Prioritizes officer assignments during sea/shore rotations Key Programs: Federal Executive Fellowship (FEF) Pol-Mil Master's (PMM) Arthur S. Moreau (ASM) post-master's study program (not currently funded) Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Strategic Studies (688) curriculum Naval War College Advanced Strategy Program (ASP) Strategy Subspecialists will have the ability to develop and coordinate national, military, and naval strategy and policies to evolve concepts and strategy to employ military forces from the national through tactical levels.

Earn Master’s Degree from: Naval Strategy Subspecialty Personnel Coding Billet Requirement Tier III - Strategist O6 No impact to URL career: Post-major command comes after all URL career milestones are met 2300Q Experience Only impact to URL career: FEF is only 1 year. Experience tour can be 2-3 years, but can also be Joint Tier II – Experience Tour 2300S 2300S O4-O6 O3-O6 Fellowship i.e. FEF, CFR Experience 2300P 2301P 2300Q or Tier I – Initial Education No impact to URL career: Master’s degree de facto requirement for O-5 / command screen O1-O4 Education Earn Master’s Degree from: Board-selected program (i.e. IGE, PMM, ASM) Naval War College Advanced Naval Strategy Naval Postgraduate School Strategic Studies 2300P CIVINS/NWC 2301P NPS

PMM Requirements and Eligibility Rank: O3-O5 (including O2s selected for O3 and promoted prior to the start of the AY18-19.) SDEF Requirements and Eligibility Rank: O-5/O-6; any community 4 officers for one year beginning 1 July 2018 1 month Pol/Mil + Business School Exec Ed training; 11 months at corporate sponsor Assignment to and within the corporate sponsor based on education & military career Placement at the executive leadership level Group training at other corporate sponsors and briefings to Pentagon leadership during year Different mix of corporations chosen each year by SDEF from a pool of sponsors across a wide range of business areas.
