Time and Frequency Workshop Summary of TCTF 2007 meeting Time and Frequency Workshop Date: 24-25 October, 2007 Attendees: 29 delegates representing 17 economies Day 1: Technical discussion Day 2: ‘Developing needs’ sessions and discussion New economies such as Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, PNG and Fiji represented to APMP T&F meeting for the first time Identification and understanding of common issues Changing role of T&F labs is better understood Priorities identified for consideration by TCTF - Training - Traceability to UTC - Remote calibration

Summary of TCTF 2007 meeting Joint WS of TCL and TCTF Date: October 30, 2007 Attendees  48 delegates from 17 NMIs Agenda  CCL-K11 and traceability issue  Optical clocks using ions and atom lattice  Optical comb and its applications  GPS link for optical frequency measurement  total 11 presentations

Summary of TCTF 2007 meeting Conclusions Every coordinator of TCTF WGs shall upload each WG’s documents and presentation files on the APMP Web. TCTF chair asks that WG on MRA provides the CMC review progress report on the website. For 2nd round CMC review, the submission deadline is January 31, 2008. For DEC issue, WG GNSS shall survey the demand and present states of developing economy NMIs. Sharing of satellite link fee (Asia-Europe link) among participating stations shall be concluded by June 2008. ATF 2008 workshop will be held adjacent to APMP 2008 (local organizing committee: KIM-LIPI ) TCTF chair becomes a member of both WG MRA and WG CMC under CCTF to contribute and link with CCTF activity.
