The Power of Facebook At 2.07 billion, Facebook has more monthly active users than WhatsApp (1.3 billion), Twitter (330 million) and Instagram (800 million) There are now 65 million local business pages on Facebook 4 million 'likes' are generated hourly 1.37 billion people log into Facebook daily 4.75bn pieces of content are shared daily 83% of parents on Facebook are friends with their children Facebook adds 500,000 new users every day; 6 new profiles every second More than 250 billion photos have been uploaded to Facebook. This equates to 350 million photos per day Average time spent on Facebook is 20 minutes

The Power of Twitter 500 million Tweets are sent per day 80% of Twitter users access it on their mobiles There are 100 million daily active users on Twitter 93% of Twitter video views happen on mobile 74% of Twitter users say they use the network to get their news Tweets with videos are SIX times more likely to be retweeted than tweets with photos, and THREE times more likely to be retweeted than tweets with GIFs. 

Demographics Facebook users are 53% female and 47% male. Twitter Facebook users are 53% female and 47% male. Average Facebook user has 155 “friends”. 56% of online Seniors aged 65+ are on Facebook and 63% are between age 50-64. 87% of online users of age 18-29 are on Facebook. 24% of All Internet male users use Twitter, whereas 21% of All Internet Female users use Twitter. Total number of Twitter users in UK is 13 million. 37% of Twitter users are between ages of 18 and 29, 25% users are 30-49 years old.
