Subtotal of the meal Cost of meal: $192.76 Item QTY Unit Price Total San Pellegrino 1 $6.99 San Fabiano Chianti Putto $36.99 Beef Carpaccio $12.95 Calamari Fritto Misto $10.95 Tomato and Mozzarella Caprese $8.25 Spicy shrimp and eggplant $11.95 Pasta Pesto $14.95 Ravioli Di Bella $15.45 Bistecca 8oz filet $29.45 Bistecca Alla Fiorentina $27.95 Tiramisu $2.99 Crème Brulee $3.95 Key Lime pie Torta Di Cioccolata $6.95 Subtotal: $192.76 Cost of meal: $192.76

Sales Tax Sales tax percent = 8.25 Sales tax amount: $15.90 Formula: A=PB A = Tax amount P = percent = 8.25 = .0825 B = subtotal = 192.76 Tax amount = .0825(192.76) = 15.90

Tip/Gratuity Amount tipped = 20% Tip amount: $38.55 Formula: A = PB A = Tip Amount P = Tip Percentage = 20% B = Subtotal = 192.76 Tip amount = .2(192.76) = $38.55

Total cost Total Cost: $ Item Amount Subtotal $192.76 Tax $15.90 Tip/Gratuity $38.55 Total Cost: $247.21

Definitions and Explanations of vocabulary used in the presentation Gratuity: An extra amount given over the amount required, often given to waiters and bellhops, also know as tip. Sales Tax: A tax on the receipt added to the selling price. Subtotal: The price before adding tax to the bill. Total price: The price including the subtotal, tax and sometimes tip.

My Observations While I was making this presentation and doing the research I noticed many things. I found out that the bill increases by 28.25% if you give a 20% tip at a restaurant and the sales tax added to it in Tarrant county. I also noticed that waiters can make a lot of money working at an expensive restaurant giving amazing service than at a cheaper restaurant giving the same service. One of the biggest things I saw was that finding the total price is very easy and takes very little time depending on the amount of items you have.
