Welcome To Sneak-A-Peek!

If your child will be staying for the after Transportation If you have not yet gone to the Stingray Café to finalize your child’s transportation please do so immediately following our classroom visit. When you have figured out bus/car rider numbers, please come back to the classroom and share that information with us in order to get your child home safely Monday and for the remainder of the year. Thanks  Bus Riders If your child is going to be a bus rider, you will need to visit the Stingray café to find out his/her bus number and check out their pick up and drop off time. Car Riders If your child is going to be a car rider at any point in the year, please visit the car rider booth in the Stingray Café to receive a car rider number that you will display in your car in order to pick up your child. After School Program If your child will be staying for the after school program, please visit the booth in the Stingray Café in order to receive information about signing up and daily costs.

S.U.E.S.S FOLDERS S.U.E.S.S. folders are sent home every day. Please check your child’s folder for any notes from the school or from me. Look over your child’s behavior log. Talk about any problems or celebrations your child may have had that day. Complete the homework and make sure that you sign your child’s folder every night. All work should be taken out over the weekend.

Homework Homework for the week is sent home on Monday. Please work on homework nightly. Homework will be checked for completion on Friday. Students earn Class Dojo points for completing their homework on Friday. Students may also lose Dojo points for incomplete or no homework. You may help your child with their homework, but please remember all work should be done by your child. In second grade, we strive for students to work independently.

Stingray Cafe Breakfast Lunch Snack / Water Payment Regular: $1.25 $2.10 Reduced: $0.30 $0.40 Snack / Water We are not able to provide snack from the school this year. However, you are more than welcome to send in snack for our class to share. Please remember no candy, sweets, or drinks are permitted. Students are allowed to bring a water to drink each day. They can bring a water bottle to refill if desired. Payment Breakfast and lunch charges may be paid for in cash or check and given to the Stingray Café. There is a $5.00 minimum charge on all student accounts. You may also pay online at www.parentonline.net. There is a new online free and reduce application. It is a much faster process  (FRApplications.douglas.k12.ga.us ).

Math Fact Races The Math Fact goal for second grade is that students learn all of their addition and subtraction facts within 20. We will have weekly Math Fact Races to help motivate and celebrate your child reaching their math fact goal. Our Math Fact program encourages your child to work at their own pace to achieve their own personal goals. Those that learn their facts quickly will be challenged with Multiplication Facts. Reaching any math fact goal is a reason for celebration in our class! We will have a Nacho Party for those who reach the end of year goal!
