What’s going to happen All existing tenants within Australia will be moved. Customers outside the service area will not be moved. There is no change to functionality or user interface. Only a change in data location. Microsoft is working hard to make this move easy. They will provide transparency on TechNet and predictability with details in the Message Center. There’s nothing you have to do, MS will take care of it. - Email will continue to work during the move. - SharePoint will be read-only for between a few minutes and a few hours outside normal working hours. - Lync will continue to work. 5. MS cannot change your move date. Customers are grouped in batches of thousands and cannot be separated. 6. More details and FAQ at http://aka.ms/move
Options if you need them Microsoft Office365 9/18/2018 Do nothing, be migrated with Microsoft move program There’s nothing to do, MS will take care of it. Email will continue to work during the move. SharePoint will be read-only for between a few minutes and a few hours outside normal working hours. MS cannot change your move date. 1 Recommended Option Apply for the early adopter program to be moved early Runs March through August 2015. Customers on the beta are fully supported but don’t necessarily get 6 weeks notice of their move. We need to choose certain beta customers that meet certain attributes. Not all customers will be eligible. 2 You can request to not be moved and to stay in the Asia Pacific region Your data will stay in Singapore and Hong Kong. Request via Support more than 4 weeks before their scheduled move. We can not move customers later who ask not to be moved. 3 © 2012 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
