Capacitors are used to correct power factor to bring it closer to “unity” Banks of capacitors may be used in automated PFC equipment that switches in capacitance based on demand.

Type PFCH 3-Phase Harmonic Filter Capacitors Typically the output of an AC inverter has significant harmonics voltages of the (3rd, 5th and 7th) that cause distortion and noise on the line.
