Eid ul Fitr Eid ul Azha 10th of Zul Hijjah 1st of Shawwal After the completion of Ramadan Eid ul Fitr 10th of Zul Hijjah In memory of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S.) & Ismail (A.S.) Eid ul Azha

Method of Eid Prayer Wajib on every Muslim men Women can also offer Eid Prayer but not obligatory It has 2 Rakat Offered in congregation behind Imam It can not be offered individually There is no qaza if someone misses Eid Prayer It is offered in the same ways as other daily Prayers are offered except with few differences

Differences with other Prayer There are no Azan and Iqamah for Eid Prayer It contains 6 extra Takbeerat 3 extra Takbeerat are given in 1st Rakat before the Recitation of the Quran Rest of 3 takbeerat are given in 2nd Rakat after the Recitation of the Quran Khutba (Sermon) in Arabic is given after the Prayer unlike Friday Prayer

Sunnah on the Days of Eid It is preferred to make ghusl, perfume one's self and put on best attire It is Sunnah to eat before going to the salah for Eidul fitr, but not do so on the occasion of the Eidul Azha

Sunnah on the Days of Eid It is Sunnah to take one route to the place of Eid Salah and take a different route back Time for Eid Prayer is after sunrise before noon Eid ul Azha Prayer is offered little earlier than Eid ul Fitr
