It is therefore important you read this information before you arrive at the site. If you have any queries regarding this information you must contact either your Supplier Manager or your Qantas Group Supervisor for clarification. LOCATION: BRISBAN AIRPORT and ADJACENT PROPERTIES EMERGENCY CONTACTS First call for all fire and first aid at all airport properties is: International MOCO – 07 3307 9000 Domestic POCO – 07 3867 3211 First call for security breaches (Contact the relevant supervisor in the first instance) Duty Security Controller – 02 9691 1818 First call for spills – Contact the Building Supervisor (details on next slide) For all other emergencies at the Airport and City Properties - 000 For emergencies requiring the immediate assistance of State Ambulance or Fire Services, you must clearly state this need to MOCO/POCO who will make the 000 call to request these emergency services. All accidents/incidents or near misses must be reported immediately to your Qantas Supplier Manager. EVACUATION & ASSEMBLY POINTS At Qantas Brisbane Properties a two level emergency alarm system is used as follows: The first tone (beep beep beep) signifies an alert tone only, you should prepare to evacuate and keep a listening watch A building evacuation is initiated by an intermittent rising tone (whoop whoop whoop) You should immediately evacuate the building and go directly to the nearest Assembly Point. Never re-enter a building until being given the all clear by the Area Warden (who will be wearing a Red Hat). Each alarm stage is followed by a verbal announcement via the building Public Address System that confirms the action that should be taken. The location of Assembly Points and Emergency Exits are detailed on Evacuation Plans located on each floor of every building. Take the time to familiarise yourself with these when working in a new area. Staff, Suppliers (Contractors) and Visitors are required to take direction from Wardens and assemble as directed. Fire extinguishers are available at various locations and sign-posted accordingly. Any accidents/incidents airside is also to be reported immediately to BAC Airside Operations Centre on 3406 3072.
