DYGESTIVE SYSTEM By Kevin Arellano

Mouth The opening in the human face that is collecting food.

Esophagus The part of the body which is connected to the stomach.

Stomach The internal organ in which the first part of digestion wihich is in humans and many mammals.

Small Intestine The part of the intestine that runs between the stomach and large intestine.

Large Intestine The large intestine is the second part of the alimentary canal.

Liver A large organ in the abdomen process.

Appendix An opening into the lower end of the large intestine [in humans and some other mammals.] .

Pancreas A large gland behind the stomach.

Gall Bladder The small sac-shaped organ beneath the liver.

Enzymes A substance produced by a living organism.

Bile/Bile Duct The duct that conveys bile from the liver.

Mucus A slimy substance that is in your nose and sometimes in your throat.
