Just Ask Simple things…. Can make all the difference But, you need to be prepared

Just Ask Deals with Successful Club Growth (in more than one way) Offers a four (4) step approach Prepares the club for an effective outreach

Step 1 – Prepare Your Club Understanding what your club wants to accomplish What are your recruiting and service goals? How many new members do you want? CEP, specifically “How Are Your Ratings?” to identify any issues before inviting new members

Step 2 – Create a Club Growth Plan Who What When Where How

Step 3 – Implement the Growth Plan Reach out to target new members Information meeting Asking is easy Follow up is the key to success

Step 4 – Welcome the New Members Properly introduced to all Properly informed - Orientation Involved in projects as soon as they join Offer mentoring

The single most important goal for any Lions club is to: Harmony 101 The single most important goal for any Lions club is to: have harmony among members insuring that members have a positive experience

In order to achieve this goal there needs to be: Harmony 101 In order to achieve this goal there needs to be: Acceptance of new ideas Acceptance of new individuals in club positions Understanding of different personalities

Harmony 101 Understanding of different problem solving skills Good communication among all members

Harmony 101 Let’s look at some scenarios and see how we can put into action techniques/plans to guarantee our club will run smoothly.

Scenario One: What do you do for the relatively new member who states: “I just don’t feel like I fit in with this club.”

Scenario Two How do you address the concern by members who feel they never know… “what is going on in the club or the district”?  

Scenario Three How do encourage attendance at out-of- club events particularly Zone and Cabinet meetings when most members described them as: “boring with nothing new to offer”?
