Certification Look-up Tool This application allows the opportunity to search for educators who currently hold or have held Idaho certification. Information provided includes the following: Credential status* Professional endorsement status Application status Any Idaho disciplinary action taken against an educator certificate* Endorsement information, which includes assignments they can teach with their current endorsements Contract information, which includes assignments they are currently teaching *This meets the Idaho Code §33-1210 (5) verification of certification status and past disciplinary action for every new certified staff hired. Certification Look-up Tool Access to the Certification Look-up Tool is given to Superintendents and Business Manager and is available through the LEA ISEE login. Assignment Credential Report Review and address all deficiency warnings prior to submission of your ISEE trail. Deficiency Warning: R108481 Staff lacks proper credential/endorsement for assignment The Assignment Credential report can be ran two days after the LEA has submitted the ISEE upload. Between October 15 and November 1, review the LEA report thoroughly and correct deficiencies – Contact your Regional ISEE coordinator for help running and interpreting your Assignment Credential Report Signature attests and affirms the report is true and accurate. Alternative Authorization – District Responsibility Do everything possible to hire the appropriately certificated/endorsed person for the services to be provided Get local school board approval to submit the request Complete and submit application Complete background investigation check when applicable and submit with authorization application Support, track and ensure the candidate is making progress on their plan in order for the district to apply for renewal the following year Shannon

Alternative Authorization – Candidate Responsibility Identify traditional or non-traditonal program Work with a college/university to develop a route to certification and include the signed formal plan with the application packet, or Get enrolled in ABCTE and include proof of registration Work with the district to fill out the application packet Fill out the Form B1 accurately and correctly Complete background investigation check when applicable and submit with application Make adequate progress as outlined on the approval letter Shannon

Alternative Authorization – State Responsibility Present the LEA authorization request to the Professional Standards Commission Send out determination letters (approved/not approved) Put in a request to restore funding upon district request when assignment deficiency has been rectified Provide technical assistance to the LEA and the candidate as needed Shannon

Emergency Provisional Certificate Candidate must have a minimum of two years college experience (32 credits) Can only be requested for emergencies One year only – not renewable Does not lead to certification/endorsement Cannot be used for special education assignments Shannon
