CAN / COULD PRESENT SIMPLE: PAST SIMPLE: I can play the piano. I can’t play the piano. Can I play the piano? Yes, I can. PAST SIMPLE: I could play the piano when I was younger. I couldn’t play the piano when I was younger. Could you play the piano when you were younger? No, I couldn’t.
