2015 ESCI Annual Best Practices Award Program Background Achievement 2015 ESCI Annual Best Practices Award Program

Background The ESCI-KSP Website (http://esci-ksp.org) was formally launched since March 2012 under the Energy Smart Communities Initiative (ESCI) launched in 2010 jointly by the United States and Japan within the APEC. Smart Transport Smart Buildings Smart Grids Smart Jobs LCMT It is comprised of four main pillars-Smart Buildings, Smart Transport, Smart Grids, and Smart Jobs, and cross-cutting project-Low Carbon Model Town (LCMT). It has collected more than 400 cases and 218 publications from 18 APEC economies so far.

Achievement Outreach Annual Best Practice Award Program EWG workshop To continue the momentum of regional efforts in developing new methods, technologies and applications To offer an opportunity to encourage best practices, facilitate knowledge-sharing and give public recognition to accomplishments in energy smart related cases within the APEC region. Outreach This year the APEC senior officials have helped promoted ESCI-KSP and the Annual ESCI Best Practice Awards Program in SOM. In addition, SOM3 and FOTC (Friends of the Chair) on Urbanization have generally reviewed the APEC projects related to urbanization, and found out that ESCI-KSP could be incorporated in the roadmap of APEC urbanization development. Optimize the ESCI-KSP website: add Industry Zone to create a place for the smart energy related enterprises. EWG workshop Held four workshops related to knowledge sharing in energy smart fields associate with EWG meetings
