Course of Study 4 Year Program on a 4x4 Block Schedule: 9th and 10th: Core classes 11th and 12th: Dual enrollment/AP and STEM internships Capstone Senior Year

Integrated Disciplines: 9th Grade 9th Grade Course of Study Physics and Engineering Foundations of Engineering Engineering Concepts Honors Physics English and Chemistry Honors World Literature and Composition Honors Chemistry I Scientific Research 1 Honors Geometry 3 Electives

Integrated Disciplines: 10th Grade 10th Grade Course of Study Biology and Health Care Honors Biology Essentials of Health Care Human Anatomy AP US History and American Lit AP US History Honors American Literature Civics credit Advanced Algebra 3 electives

Junior/Senior Year STEM Research III/ Internship STEM Research IV/Internship At least two AP science credits (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics) or dual enrollment of two courses Math: minimum of one unit of AP Calculus, AP Statistics or dual enrollment At least one AP English credit and/or dual enrollment Completion of at least one pathway

STEM Scientific Research/Internships 11th Grade: Scientific Research III (year long): Will be required to meet twice a week in class with STEM teacher/mentor during specified time. Remainder of the time will be spent with the business partner. Required portfolio and work hours documentation. 12th Grade: Scientific Research IV (year long): Will be required to meet at least once per week with STEM teacher/mentor, but on an “as needed” basis for assistance. Continued work with business partner; Senior Capstone will be the culminating project, along with required documentation.

Capstone Project--Senior Year Portfolio Extended independent research project and speech before judges Hours documented (through junior/senior year) Rolling presentation schedule (students will present by April 19, 2019)

Fundraisers - Mark your Calendars Sign up before you leave April 25, 2016 Chick-Fil-A 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. May 26, 2016 car wash at high school & elementary school 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Money will be used for field trips for upcoming school year.

Tentatively set for Feb. 15-20 Disney Trip Tentatively set for Feb. 15-20 All STEM students will be able to attend. Approximate cost $700 Will take charter bus Sign up if interested on sheet in foyer
