Are you ready to graduate? Who should submit a Graduation Petition? –To submit a petition you should have completed at least 30 degree units and working to earn one of the following: AA degree / AS degree IGETC certification CSU certification –Even if you do not wish to participate in graduation ceremonies you need to complete a petition to graduate

When applying for an associate degree: List the courses required for your major and use the columns to indicate your Gr (grade) & units, if the course is in progress (IP) or if you still need the course (need) If you are a Liberal Arts major, following a catalog 2007 – 08 or earlier, you can write Liberal Arts. Liberal Arts majors using any catalog thereafter must list the courses in the emphasis All other majors must list courses in this section Courses completed at another college/university that you want to be used in this area must be approved by the department overseeing the major. Students are required to submit a Petition to Substitute/Waive a Major Requirement to the department. If applying for an Associate degree, list courses required in the major. DEADLINE for Petitions to Graduate FALL 2013 – October 11th SPRING 2014 – February 15 th SUMMER 2014 – July 11 th You should petition AT LEAST one full semester before you plan to graduate.

If you completed any coursework from a school outside of the California Community College system AND you want to use a course toward a general education requirement you need to meet with a counselor and complete a Pass Along petition. If you completed your language proficiency in high school we must have an official high school transcript on file. Questions about what will transfer, what major you should complete, or specific questions about coursework already completed, please make an appointment to see a counselor. You hold the KEY to your future!
