California Careforce Volunteer Opportunity (Professional Event) Date: Saturday, October 29th Time: 5:15 AM - 3:00 PM (whole day) Location: Cal Expo, Sacramento, CA Volunteer with us at Medical, Visual, and Dental clinics throughout the day! Sign up at: www.californiacareforce.org Let us know once you’ve signed up: Sign-Up Excel Rides will be provided! (first-come first-served) Mai Lee It will be long, hard work (which, of course, is also rewarding and a lot of fun!). Expect to be there the whole day. There will be breaks throughout the day. It’s okay if you can only come for part of the time (half day or less), just please let them know ahead of time. They should give us specific information about set up, take down, and times of clinic operation for the clinic you are participating in. Volunteers without relevant health care professional skills will be able to volunteer in several other capacities: patient registration, runners to help patients get where they need to go, language translation (if you have language skills to offer), dental sterilization, supply stocking and lay technicians in our vision lab. It depends on what jobs need to be filled so you might not be able to volunteer for a specific assignment. Wear modest, comfortable attire (scrubs are acceptable). All volunteers are required to wear closed-toe shoes (we suggest shoes you can stand comfortably in for long hours). Be presentable. There will be breakfast, lunch and light refreshments.
