Conjunctions and Interjections Review and Practice

What is a Conjunction? A word used to join words or groups of words Jen and Brant have arrived. They worked until the sun went down. I don’t know whether I want eggs or oatmeal.

Paired Conjunctions both . . . . . and either . . . . . or neither . . . . . nor not only . . . . . but also whether . . . . . or Examples: I want both steak and shrimp for dinner. Neither Heather nor Sandra finished the assignment. She was not only tired, but also angry.

Examples interjections A single word or short series of words that shows a burst of emotion They are kind of like emoticons: The cookie was overcooked.  The cookie was overcooked. Yuck!
