Deakin’s Associate Degrees are unique – there is no other equivalent program anywhere else in Australia.
Two key differences are that Deakin’s Associate Degrees are Commonwealth Supported HECS courses (not full-fee paying) and you are a Deakin on campus student from day one.

Case Study Georgia completed year 12 in 2012 Case Study Georgia completed year 12 in 2012. She wanted to do nursing at Deakin. She did not get the required ATAR – too much partying she says! She started the Associate Degree in 2013. She is now in 2nd year nursing and doing well. She is determined not to waste this chance.
Case Study Charlotte commenced the Associate Degree in 2015 Case Study Charlotte commenced the Associate Degree in 2015. She had undertaken VCE in 2013 but fell seriously ill just before her exams and was unable to complete. After taking a year to recover Charlotte is flying through her studies.
Case Study Dylan left school and trained as a butcher but tired of it after 7 years. He wanted to do accounting but did not have year 12. He started the Associate Degree in 2013 and has now successfully transitioned to accounting at Deakin. He is doing well.
