Stefan Georgsson, Senior Developer LS Nav POS Overview Stefan Georgsson, Senior Developer

The new POS Interface LS Nav 2013 is the first release of the product running solely on the 3-tier architecture LS Nav 2013 embraces the advantages of the Microsoft platform Redesigned pages Multiple interfaces Charts in Sales History Import / Export (Rapid Start) New POS UI using .NET add-ins Best LS Nav release for a long time !

POS and LS Nav 2013 POS running within the NAV environment Open Source (C/AL) Takes full advantage of the Microsoft ERP functionality All business logic programmed in NAV User interface controlled from NAV All setup within NAV Programming NAV C/AL based User interface based on .NET Add-ins

LS Nav 2013 POS User Interface Release March 1st 2013 General POS, including hospitality Support for mobile loyalty Safe management Release May 8th 2013 Special orders Restaurant delivery and graphical table management Browser control for HTML within the POS Media control for pictures / videos within the POS Advanced dual display Windows printing and e-receipt

Demo LS Nav POS Standard POS Loyalty Special orders LS Nav Restaurant POS Graphical table management Delivery management Nav POS running on Surface

LS NAV 2013 empowers consultants Easy design of every ‘page’ on the POS Layout and size Functionality POS Setup based on Default template Only deviations from Default need to be defined Sharing Shared data dramatically reduces necessary setup and makes modifications easier Example: Buttons for numpad (0-9) are defined once and re-used for login, price change, numpad in the POS etc.

POS Panels and the new user interface Every ‘page’ in the new user interface is based on a POS panel The panels are defined in NAV and the size and layout is flexible Each panel is divided into rows and columns The panels contain different controls Button pad (for menus) Data grid (for lists / lookups) Record zoom (card style presentation of data) Input control Browser control Media control

POS Styles A new concept to administrate the color and fonts used on the POS Styles can be linked to POS commands Makes it easy to change the look of the entire POS Example: Changing the style for PLU or Cancel commands will automatically change the buttons everywhere Different styles on the same POS interface The system automatically picks the correct style depending on who is working (cashier) and where (POS terminal / store) The same interface can have different styles without touching the functionality

Demo POS Styles POS Panels How can a consultant modify almost everything on the POS using the panels? The new control types Media control Browser control Dual display

Working with the new POS environment Consultants can easily modify almost everything that has to do with the look and feel of the UI The code is open source so NAV developers can add their own functionality if required .NET based interface with endless possibilities ... 3-tier architecture opens the system for non-NAV add-ons LS Mobile POS LS Mobile Loyalty 3rd party systems

Example: Creating a new POS interface My customer in Portugal requires a new POS interface 3 different security cameras shall be accessible on the POS Extended item info based on HTML Journal lines on the center of the screen Specific requests for colors and fonts This is solved by creating a new Interface profile The Interface profile needs a new main panel (#POS) but all other data can be shared with the Default profile

My new POS interface 3 columns 5 rows

Demo How to define and apply a new POS interface

Thank you !

Summary New POS interface built on latest technology Consultants empowered Streamlined implementation using shared setup and „rapid start“ tools Open source (C/AL) for partners
