THE #8 PLACE WHERE CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION IS WORST Even before the rise of the Islamic State (IS), Christians in Iraq were regularly kidnapped and attacked. Now as the IS is being driven out, the same old persecution returns. Many Christians have fled but some are returning to rebuild their homes. There is also a community of Christians determined to stay and rebuild the Church. They are trying to survive in an increasingly Islamic society. Pressure is put on them daily to deny their faith.

PRAY FOR OUR PERSECUTED FAMILY Pray for those who are coming to faith in Iraq. Pray that they will learn to walk with Jesus, even through hardships. Pray that the Lord will strengthen and equip returning Christians to rebuild the Church in Iraq. Pray that the worldwide Body of Christ will support Christian workers who are keeping hope alive in Iraq.
