Year 9 Subject Selection: Mitchell River Eco Warriors

Course Description Mitchell River Eco Warriors is a Stewardship in action subject, where Scientific principles such as Ecology, Biodiversity, Biology and Environmental Sciences are studied . Excursions where students workshop sustainable Fishing practices, Dung Beetle, surveys, Threatened species and water testing and Landcare activities are supported by Government representatives. Nagle Rainforest Project engages students in indigenous plant propagation and cultivation and restoring nationally threatened Rainforest along the Mitchell River at Nagle.

Why Study this? Work Tasks Assessment tasks • Field work including practical investigations and collection of primary data from the Mitchell River and Nagle Rainforest.
