On your whiteboard: Bulletpoint the key points of Kant’s ethical theory What are its weaknesses so far?

More problems for Mr. Kant… He ignores consequences Think of examples Red pen – how strong is this criticism? He ignores emotions

Time to sum up… On a sheet of A3, outline the criticisms in separate sections. Add any responses/ counter- arguments. Add mini-conclusions judging how strong each criticism is. Now write out a main conclusion on how effective Kant’s theory is as a method of moral decision-making. This is also your chance to check with me anything from this topic that you’re not sure on.

Next Time… We will be preparing for a big class debate on Utilitarianism vs Kant. So you will need to revise both theories for next lesson.
