Mission Statement Facts & Figures - 2017 The Twinsburg Baseball League is an all volunteer, non-city affiliated entity that serves to provide a positive and developmental youth baseball experience for the 1,200 children annually that participate in our recreational baseball leagues, travel baseball program, and other events throughout the year. Facts & Figures - 2017 Spring/Summer Recreational League – 67 teams, 808 players Fall Baseball League – 30 teams, 381 players Travel Baseball Program – 7 teams, 80 players Twinsburg Stars & Stripes Travel Baseball Tournament – 49 teams from OH & surrounding states entered in 2017 Twinsburg World Series of Wiffle Ball – 92 teams entered in 2017 – largest Wiffle Ball tournament in America Board of Directors – 36 parents of current or former TBL players

TBL Guiding Principles To provide a positive youth baseball experience for children of all age and talent levels Parity and fairness in team construction through use of player evaluation forms and removal of all people connected with a division from the process Keep costs low to families through team sponsors, fundraisers, and other TBL events Through positive coaching, we want the kids to be sad when the season ends, and excited to play the following season A commitment to maintaining a strong rec baseball program while also fielding competitive travel teams Well kept fields, updated equipment for our teams and coaches, and a safe playing environment for the kids

Impact on Community Nearly 1,000 Twinsburg families have children in or set to enter the program Stars & Stripes Travel Baseball Tournament brings 45-50 teams and 550-600 players (and their families) from other communities into Twinsburg annually the week after the 4th of July each year TBL’s Fall Baseball League and the World Series of Wiffle Ball are 35-40% comprised of players from other communities, bringing families of neighboring communities to Twinsburg TBL awards three $500 college scholarships annually to former players/umpires 25% of proceeds from the World Series of Wiffle Ball are donated to local charities to help the less fortunate in Summit County “TBL Celebrates Their MVP’s” event celebrates children with physical or other challenges that prevents them from playing the game in a traditional setting Guidance from the Positive Coaching Alliance helps our coaches provide a positive, character- building youth sports experience for the kids of the community 50+ local businesses are involved through team and banner sponsorship, support of those businesses promoted with TBL players, families, and community Employ 60+ Twinsburg middle school and high school students and adults part-time as umpires and field maintenance crew

Rec Baseball vs. Travel Baseball Very difficult to maintain a strong recreational league and a competitive travel baseball program – Twinsburg is one of few communities that has Important for parents to choose the right path for their children Rec tournament teams are “middle ground” – the players get an enhanced experience, additional instruction, and get to stay in Twinsburg and play with friends – without the time commitment and financial costs of travel baseball

Rec vs. Travel – The Differences Rec Baseball Travel Baseball $95-$135 for the entire season Divisions by school grade All games in Twinsburg, 14-18 game schedule 3 month season (April, May, June) Rec tournament teams $295, plus additional costs throughout year & fundraising Age on May 1 determines division Games all over NE OH, weekend tournaments, 40-50 game schedule Winter indoor practices, season typically ends in late July
