Drive formatting Jake + Jacob

Drive formatting Formatting is the process Of preparing a hard disk Drive medium for data Storage, it may also create one or more new file systems.

Low + High Level ‘Low level formatting’ refers to the process of preperation of the formatiing process ‘High level formatting’ refers to the creation of a new file system eg FAT or NTFS

Destruction Formatting is a destructive process meaning that when You format your hard disk drive, any data that is on it will be lost.

Partitioning Partitioning is the process of splitting one hard disk drive into multiple blocks Some operating systems allow these partitioned hard disk drives to appear as two separate drives
