Developing Missions

A Mighty Fortress Fulshear, Texas Pastor Ben Reichel Pastor Reichel recently accepted a call to be the campus pastor and teacher at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, Wisconsin. We thank Pastor Reichel for the work that he contributed to this harvest field and we pray that God would bless the work here in the future.

Abiding Savior Killeen, Texas Pastor Steve Dorn Abiding Savior continues to develop into a self-supporting congregation that has made huge strides in reducing the amount of mission subsidy that they receive, thereby freeing up financial resources that are able to be used for more mission work in more harvest fields.

Christ Alone Keller, Texas Pastor Paul Seager This past year the mission was able to purchase land on the main street of Keller where they will build their permanent home for worship and ministry in the near future.

Faith Tyler, Texas Pastor Dan Schmidt Pastor Schmidt has recently completed his first year in Tyler and has seen the mission settle in to their spacious rented church facility and begin Sunday morning services after enlisting the members of the mission in a canvassing effort through Praise and Proclaim Ministries (WELS).

Grace Norman, Oklahoma Pastor John Vieths The mission has been blessed with the facilities and a group of members who are willing and eager to host the spring pastors conference later this year in April. Conducting the conference in the mission venue should be an encouraging moment for both hosts and guests. In the meantime, Pastor Veiths continues to plant and water the seed of the gospel, while Pastor Hering continues to reap the harvest.

Holy Word Pflugerville, Texas Pastor Daron Lindeman After several years of focused effort, the mission site has everything in line to break ground and begin construction on their new facility this year.

Peace Liberty Hill, Texas Pastor Stephen Apt A new master planned community called Santa Rita is under development not far away from the mission’s current location. The demographics of the community indicate that it could support a Christian school that operates on tuition revenue. Peace has consulted with Divine Savior Academy (WELS) in Doral, Florida, and is actively pursuing the opportunity to start a school here.
