CAREER PATH Jobs in the same occupational field

CHEF In order to be a chef, not only do you have to be a good chef, you have to be creative with the dishes you make. Works hours may contain weekends, late evenings, early mornings and holidays.

THINGS ABOUT THE JOB With this job, u will never go hungry because you are creative and can cook from anything u find. They also pay well depending on where u work at.

SOMETHING GOOD the creativity is a huge plus the satisfaction you feel when people love your dish the money is pretty good

NEED TO KNOW In order to become a chef, you need to know as much as you can about the different types of food. You need to learn what foods are in season and when. You need to learn the best ways to prepare (and not prepare) certain foods. You need to know are what organic, free-range, Kobe, and kosher foods.

BE SUCCESSFUL My career objective is to become successful in anything that I do. The career I would like to do is to become a chef, I love the idea about cooking. I grew up around it and I loved it.

TRAINING Although a high school diploma is not required for beginning jobs, it is recommended for those planning a career as a cook or chef. To achieve the level of skill required of an executive chef or cook in a fine restaurant, many years of training and experience are necessary. An increasing number of chefs and cooks obtain their training through high school, post-high school vocational programs, or 2- or 4-year colleges
