Australian sport determination Sam McEachern and Max Kadarusman Australian sport determination

CLOTHING The clothing in the visual text symbolizes pride and a feeling of community in the team they are on, this gives the audience something to think about their community and their pride in where they live. This can have a positive impact as it can make them want to make their home better and strive to do more in their community.

LIGHT The light in this visual text is bright and clear, this gives a joyful feeling of something good and happy as bright colors tend to be used in that way.

ANGLE The angle of this visual text is about eye level which gives the audience a feeling of being equally as important as the athletes and this can make people believe that they can be like these people and be a positive influence to others (mainly youths). This makes people happy as these athletes are successful and people then believe they can be too.

BODY LANGUAGE The two players are very cheerful and are proud to play for Collingwood. The are also shaking and holding hands showing a sense of brother hood in Australian sport and in the team.

POSITION They are positioned in the middle of the photograph as the creator wants them to be the center piece and focus of attention. They also blurred out the background and the spectators. This also builds on the effect that Australian sport is so important that while on the field nothing else matters.

DIRECTION/ORRIENTATION The players are not directly facing the photographer. They are facing each other and showing mate ship, that is typical Australian sport players. They are facing each other and away from the crowd.

PURPOSE The purpose of this visual text is to convey the mate ship and huge amount of character that goes with the high level and standards of Australian sport. Australian sport is a big part of Australian culture. Particularly AFL which is what is shown in the picture. Australians are very proud people when it comes to their sporting culture and this is the purpose of the text.
